Darlene has it exactly right! The Paradise Acres Team made the event extra special for the DBHS Graduating Classes of 1973-1983. Our Gathering was wonderful! The classmates danced, looked over the bikes and cars at the show, and praised the meals. Service was excellent! What a wonderful venue! Yesterday (September 19, 2026) we had a gathering of Douglas Byrd alumni at Paradise Acres, and I cannot praise the staff enough!! There were 85-95 of us, and everyone had a great time. The food was amazing, great DJ, just a fantastic experience. We will be back again!! Thank you for all you did for us!!!

Thank you. My daughter brought me home a barbecue sandwich combo meal tonight after she dined in this evening. It was an excellent sandwich, tender and the flavor was second to none. Anyone that hasn't had barbecue there is surely missing out.

Paradise Acres is easily a favorite place to eat for the whole family. The friendly faces and wide range of menu choices make it an easy choice when it's time for dinner. Whether you want live music, a cruise in featuring cool cars or just a laid back evening dinner with your family, you're sure to come back again and again. The train ride is a nice touch and there is always something for the kids to do. The fried chicken is unmatched and the brisket is made with love.
